MORE® AntiEtch® - Care and Maintenance
Overview
The care and maintenance of MORE® AntiEtch® is consistent with recommendations from the Natural Stone Institute in the care of marble surfaces with the exception of recommendations against acid etching and staining.
Care & Precautions
Always use trivets or mats under hot pots or pans. Do not place hot items from the stove or oven directly on the treated surface.
Aways use a cutting board when using sharp objects on or near the surface to avoid scratching or cutting the surface. Do not cut directly on the treated surface.
Always use coasters, trivets or mats under plates, cups, silverware and other household items that can scratch the surface.
Do not slide objects across the surface to avoid scratching from occurring.
Cleaning
Daily Cleaning - Use MORE® Stone & Quartz cleaner as directed in combination with a clean, white microfiber cloth.
Deep Cleaning or Disinfecting - Wash the surface using a mild, liquid dish washing detergent with warm water in combination with a clean, white microfibre cloth. Rinse the surface thoroughly after washing with warm water and then dry with a clean, white microfibre cloth.
Removing Color - In the affected area only, use a alcohol based cleaner in combination with a clean, dry microfibre cloth to remove any food build up or color that is not removed by daily or deep cleaning processes.
Removing Calcium Buildup - It is common that on any surface, that calcium buildup can occur around tap areas due to the minerals in the water. To remove, use a vinegar and water solution mixed 1:8. Apply the solution to the affected area only in combination with a clean, white microfibre cloth. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and a clean, white microfibre cloth.
* Do not use scouring powders, creams, or scrubbing pads as these products contain abrasives with may scratch the surface
Maintenance & Repairs
Any repairs to the surface such as scuffing, scratching, marring or cut marks should be assessed and treated by a MORE® AntiEtch® certified applicator. Trained technicians will use the methods outlined in the MORE® AntiEtch® Certified Applicator Manual to restore the treated surface. Do not attempt to repair or alter the surface without the guidance of a MORE® AntiEtch® certified applicator.
